New Box Sides - Tail light mounting question?

Hey guys,

I recently mounted a set of reproduction box sides after completing a SWB conversion. When I went to go mount the tail lights, I noticed the holes in the bedsides for the light mounting screws are very large. I don't remember them being this large on the old bedsides but I don't have them anymore to look at. Same goes for the side marker lights as well.

Im assuming there must be some sort of plastic or metal clip that snaps into these holes for the tail light hardware to screw into? If not, am I missing something to mount the tail lights?

I'll try and get picture attached tonight for reference.

I can look when I go out to the shop but I'm pretty sure there is a "J" clip that slides over the hole.

My boss used buy little boxes of things like that. The brand was au-ve-co. He had quite the assortment. Dunno where to buy that stuff though.

Have not done business with these guys but found them in a web search:

https://autobodyclipsdirect.com/prod...-screws-clips/

You might also try the “Help” section of your local auto parts store, or if you have an old time parts store they may have a box of them in the back.

Try Ace hardware or something similar if you have one, or NAPA.
