manual to power steering parts check

Hey all. I'm close to having all my big parts my LS swap in my 72' C10. I've got manual steering right now and I'm going to power steering in my conversion. I've changed the pressure fitting and widgets in the pump to bolt on a factory 72' power steering hose. I've got the power steering pitman arm to hook into my existing steering center link.

My only area of question is my steering intermediate shaft between he rag joint and coupler below the shifter arm. My understanding it that it is collapsible and can be used for my conversion. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks
Paul
