Spray-On Bed Liner

Does anyone have experience/recommendations for spray-on bedliners? I'm tired of the big black rubber mat in the back of my blazer covering up the patchwork from the PO. I looked at Perma-Tech this weekend and it looked pretty good, tough but flexible, about 1/8-1/4" thick, and custom colormatched. They can do the whole interior floor, bed-sides, and tailgate for $600, seems pretty good to me.

I have heard that Rhino Lining isn't as soft as some of the others, like Line-X. I think they will all do custom color matching.

I checked out the Perma-Tech web site. (http://www.perma-tech.com/). Check out the "Perma-Glo". Kinda funky!

Diane (1970Blazin) put a roll-in liner in her rig. I think she covered it with carpet after that. Makes a good sound/rust barrier.

I recently finished applying Herculiner to the inside of my blazer. I'm very happy with the final results. I was able to fill in any gaps and bridge across any areas that had previous rust damage (pitting only). I'm probably going a little overkill, but after I get the rollcage installed directly on the new liner, I'm going to cover everything with "Brown Bread". On top of that I'll add my carpeting directly on the "Brown Bread". The Herculiner added alot of sound dampening, but I still want a little more. The "Brown Bread" will help to cover up the rollbar bolts and plate along with a few of the patch panels from the floor repair.

The good news is that you can completely cover the inside of your truck with Herculiner for about $125 and some elbow grease!

I am happy with the results- haven't driven the blazer with the top on to check out the sound deadning results, and I need new exhaust- I will let you guys know later how it works.

BobbyK did the "brown bread" I think it looks slick and he said it works great- I would think it would work better than the closed cell foam because it is thinner and easier to screw down your interior after your done.

Recently got a price from my local Line-X dealer. They said at a 1/4" thick over the whole thing it would cost me 600.00. Thats from the front of the floor boards all the way back and up the tailgate, sides of the bed and all. I think they said 400.00 to spray it a 1/8" thick. There are some do it yourself kits on ebay for 150.00, includes gun and everything. Any volunteers? LOL. Search "spray in bedliner" on ebay.

CANT beat the price, under $100 for the primer(pint) and actual product(pint). I plan on going over it again with another pint as it has scratched. 1 pint covered it all, just not thick enough. The finish is outstanding though, and if you prep correctly and use enough, it should do the trick. Costs less then anything else i think.

The local rhino guy around here is charging around a grand to do a whole blazer. How hard is it to take up the cheaper stuff that's put down?

My blazer has the rubberized coating through out the interior. A sharp painter's tool (scrapper with one end pointed) works really well. Once you get a section started it pulls up fairly easy.
