Re: NV4500 Installation Questions

I've been gathering parts for a long time so I have ideas, but haven't done the swap...
I'm not sure how you plan to adapt the old style TC to the (I assume) round pattern 32 spline 4x4 NV4500 output. I snagged a round pattern NP205 and got a TC shifter bracket with it from AA since the old one mounts to the original adapter.
I'd measure the length (front to back) of the old and new BH, adapters, transmissions and so on, then put the numbers in a spreadsheet (or just do the math) to see where things line up.
Moving a crossmember is pretty easy so to me that's not a worry. If the NP205 has a brace on the side that's a consideration.
I doubt that the swap in a truck is really any different is a same body blazer vs truck and not significantly different in a 67(9)-72 vs square. At least later squarebodies used a hydraulic clutch so there's a thought.
I parted a 91 suburban for the TC and a lot of parts including lots of AA parts. The BH is a mechanical style TH bearing with a part number that comes back as for a V6. I drove the truck so I know it works...
