Any other short bed factory A/C trucks out there?
Hello all, I can't sleep so I figured I would make a post. My old account got all wierd so I had to make a new one. I have been a lurker for years but don't usualy say much. I have been trying to find production quantity numbers and got some headway, but not what I am truley trying to find. I read they made 6,069 shortbox fleetside K10s for 1972 and I wonder how many of those were A/C trucks. I have been told that is a very rare combo. I have never seen another one at car shows and all of that. I thought I saw one once but it was once a long bed that was shortened. I got this truck as my very first vehicle (19 years ago) and it has been sitting the past few years because of a clutch issue and now I am tired of looking at it and not being able to drive it.

My first truck was a '67 SWB w/ factory A/C. Lost it in a wreck, alas.

You don't want to do that. You will get dirty and scrape your knuckles! Why don't I just come get that old thing and properly dispose of it. Just kidding! I never thought about the short bed K-10's having or not having A/C. I will have to pay attention. Nice truck by the way!

Its funny you say bustin knuckles, I got myself pretty good when I pulled the motor the other day. This was my very first vehicle and I have a bunch of people asking to buy it all the time. The funniest time is when I was going to go shooting and I step out of the house with one of my guns and had no idea he was there. I was just as startled as he was. We laughed pretty good about that.

My 72 GMC Sierra swb 4x4 has A/C and a few other fairly rare options.

There are tons of SWBs out there with factory A/C. At least that's how they left the factory. It's nothing rare for sure. I have had several, more than w/o. There were no production figures kept on RPOs, so there is no right tree to bark up
