Small back window cab
I have a 67 small back window cab in good condition and have put it on my 71 GMC for now. How hard would it be to change the small back window into a big back window or should I leave the small back window in the 67 cab and try and find another cab with a big back window to put on my 71 GMC?

ITs up to you, but someone would be willing to pay a lot of money or at least trade you for that small back window cab. ANd if it is in as good a shape as you say even more reason for someone to want it......but its up to you. Personally I think they look pretty slick on our trucks.....but I like the convenience of the large back window. But your decision.

I agree, someone would be willing enough to trade you to make it not worth all the work in making is less rare!

dont cut it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these small back windows are getting pretty rare compared to the big back windows, forsure someone will trade you, i bet it would be cheaper to find a big back window cab and pay the bucks over hacking your cab up

in 67, yes the big back window was a rare option, but it was standard equipment for 68-72

I agree, don`t do it.Besides,it would be easier to swap cabs, really. You`d have to do paint work anyway. The cabs are double wall, and you would have to flange both layers inward exactly the same,spot-weld,dress,and hope that the weatherstrip fits, then the glass. The small window cab is the last link to GM trucks`tradition of offering standard and deluxe cab options.First the corner windows, then the panoramic wrap-around,on to the full-view,then the`67 where it transformed to large windows becoming the standard(`68).I have a`67 GMC grille,step-side bed,and n.o.s.GMC tailgate. All I need is a Small window cab to build my`72 chevySB into the`67GMC pro-street I`m dreaming of.I`m sure there`s plenty more that would be glad to buy/swap you.Good Luck!
