Chevy GMC trucks at Deuce days in Victoria BC
My wife and I combined a trip to celebrate our 50th (official party is next month) and go to Deuce days in Victoria BC
The event is one of those bucket list events in a really nifty area that was one of the best events I have been to. Not Many AD or GM trucks there but a couple of nice ones and one that may belong to a member on here. That means that I post more photos of each of them though. They had one thing that was really nifty and quite special. Each registered vehicle got a special license plate with it's event registration number on it. More on the little black/red AD as I took a lot of photos of it. The two mid 60's burbs gold from Arkansas and silver from Texas carried power parking to a new level staking down each side of the exit ramp of the host hotel for 4 days until they had to move or were towed before cars were lined up for the show on Sunday morning. Cut off year model is 51 for the event letting in some nifty custom shoebox Fords and they missed that by 15 years. The Diamond T pickup was just flat beautiful. Perfect paint and well detailed.

The black mid 60's was just wheeling down the street as was the orange TF big window and that was the only time I saw either of them.
The 37 Chevy Ute was pretty wild with great paint and a blown small block.

A nice little AD from Alberta belonging to a gent named Terry (first)
The shadows didn't help with photographs though. The silver Deco chevy truck was nice and someone has a good start on the binder. These vehicles were on a side street and the area they were in was almost like a separate show from the main area with the 32 Fords.

This is the black cherry AD from Alberta that is a spectacular truck and as you can see drew a lot of attention.
Lots of little tricks on the truck such as the frenched lights and 59 Impala dash to go with the beautiful paint.

That was about it for AD trucks so here are a 36/37 and some more Deco trucks.

Re: Chevy GMC trucks at Deuce days in Victoria BC
One of the last photos I took Sunday was of the Black AD as it was leaving.
A lot of cars had to leave early to catch ferries back to the mainland. Last photo is of the estimated 10K spectators at the show and there are over 200 1932 Fords out of the 700+ in the show between where I stood and the white tent where they were selling T shirts and trinkets.

We made it to Butchart Gardens on Monday (had the 5:55 ferry out of Sidney on Monday) and it was spectacular but I don't recommend going and then driving better than 250 miles home after you get off the ferry in Anacortes in the same day.. I had to stop in a rest area and take a nap on the way home. The weekend was great fun for both of us in that my wife explored the shops around the hotel and right next door to the hotel they had a open air market on weekend days with a bunch of craft vendors and artists setup that she spent hours at. We put the car in the parking garage on Thursday and didn't take it out until Monday. Not much need for the car in the down town area unless it was actually in the show and then one guy with a 32 roadster left his parked in the garage next to My VW until Sunday morning when he pulled it out for the show. The actual "show" was Sunday when they blocked the streets off, removed any car that wasn't in the show or wasn't parked in the correct spot for the show (no sneaking into a prime spot early) and the cars lined up to be directed to parking spots. Some were said to be in line at 3 in the morning. We figured out that we could have taken our boat and parked it at the dock right in the big middle of things down town and maybe saved a few hundred dollars. I'm not sure what facilities the dock has though.
