Cowl Vent Differencees

Interested in why the cowl vents on firewall have differences on 72’ model year Blazers and trucks, along with other years, 67 to 72’. Especially, the far vent on passenger side. In 72’ see two different shapes on both Blazers and trucks. Also other years show differences too. Below are some photos by years. This post is 72’. It is not AC vs non-AC as trucks/Blazers with AC have both styles. Photos 3 and 4 are Pete’s Blazer. Photo 5 is a short bed truck. Photos 1 and two, is a Blazer.
