Bed for 72
Looking at a 72 c30 dually that is in pretty good shape. Does not have a bed. How would you handle this situation? Would you get a flat bed for it, find a 8ft bed that would fit (where at?) or what??

Re: Bed for 72
I'm wondering how difficult to put a flat bed on it?

Re: Bed for 72
With the flat bed I would think that if you found one already assembled. You would center it both ways on the frame. And then determine what size blocks you would need where ever the mounting bolts are going to be located. Use oak or some type of hardwood. Go to tractor supply or some sort of business of that type and get the proper length of carriage bolts, flat washers, lock washers, and nuts. Then have at it! Draft a friend or two to help move it around until you are satisfied with the location.

Thank you Smitty! I appreciate the advice. I've been looking online and I'm thinking I can do this! I can't weld very good but my dad still can (he's 91).
