Need blinker help

Blinker question 74/78
74 c10 with cab/engine harness out of a 78. Bed is still 74. New flashers. Freshly painted truck but sanded and put brass on the posts and nuts for the lights.

Flashers were fast and then they stopped working entirely. All other lights work.

I put new flashers in and the lights were fine for two days.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

Sounds like a grounding issue to me. Did you reground the bed to the frame? It may not hurt to run a ground from the taillight housings to the frame also.

Re: Need blinker help

pretty much had the same probs when i got my truck painted earlier this yr.
grounds would be my guess too.
my tail lites were acting weird, even after i took the paint off for the grounds. my tail gate lights (1 ton) were not grounding properly threw the hinges with new paint everywhere, so i ran a ground from the first lite (there's 5) to the frame and all my tail lite problems disappeared.
prob got the only k30 with an externally mounted tailgate ground...
