What Screws for Cowl Panel
Putting my cowl panel back on and cannot locate the screws that held it down.
Can someone give me an idea what size I need to purchase? Were these stainless? Thanks My truck is a '69 SWB Last edited by 35boulder; 10-11-2019 at 10:53 AM. Reason: none |

Re: What Screws for Cowl Panel
Those that show are stainless or chrome plate. Those that secure the weatherstrip are a black oxide. They are both about 1/2" long. Not sure of diameter but may be #8. Here's a picture showing placement.

Re: What Screws for Cowl Panel
Also, if I remember correctly (I'm not near the truck today), the black screws have a captured washer.

Re: What Screws for Cowl Panel
That they do. The washers are narrow too, kind of a design flaw considering the size of the slots in the panel. They probably figured they're not going anywhere anyhow.
