Re: 67 short step Daily driver build, 5.3 and 33s

Got the front clip off yesterday, it went well no broken bolts which I couldn’t hardly believe

Got the front suspension and steering all pulled to make way for all the new stuff

Got that all done then tore the oil pan back off the motor so that I could drill out the block for the new dip stick, did that then put the pan back on. Pulled the intake to make sure the valley cover wasn’t leaking oil, it wasn’t but it was disgusting under there so took about a hour cleaning and getting it ready for new gaskets

Got the lower motor mounts done, I’m using the trail blazer rubber mounts and custom brackets on the engine because the factory was to wide to fit where I wanted

On to the trans mount, reused the trail blazer mount and modified the factory crossmember to hold it also made it kinda skid like since it hangs down more than I would like
Bottom

Top cut out so that the mount can move

In the truck

Overall to see how low it hangs, couldn’t do any better trans is just off the floor boards
