68 custom hood
I've done a search on here and online looking for a hood for my build. I want something a little different than the cowl hood that seems so popular. I found one I really like but can't seem to get up with anyone who was offering them. Does anyone have any idea of a source for the one in the picture?

Re: 68 custom hood
I found a thread on another forum from sometime in 2013 where the guy was selling them if he could get interest from 5 people. He had carbon fiber option as well as fiberglass and another option. I joined and replied to the thread but never got a response. The guy still has a web site but I sent him a message with no response there either.

Re: 68 custom hood
Called the fabrication shop today. The hoods are being made somewhere in Canada according to the gentleman I spoke with. Unfortunately he was saying the hoods were like 6k a pop for carbon fiber. He said he could modify a steel hood for a much cheaper rate though. I'm interested for sure. Like the looks of it.

Great! I'll get in touch with No Limit and see what the cost would be for one.

Re: 68 custom hood
$6k??? I'm sure glad I don't want one!
I see the truck in the second picture has a repro right fender. I love the body work and posture in the first picture. That truck is the best looking one and it doesn't have this hood. It's hard to find a good 67/68 hood with no rust on the front lip and repros suck. I'd hate to see a lot of good original hoods ruined for this mod.

Re: 68 custom hood
I have an extra 68 hood I recently bought that I would like to see custom made like that.

Re: 68 custom hood
Not to revive an old thread but did you ever get the hood? I finally found a 67 hood but like you said the front lip is rusted through. Do they make a replacement section for that?

Re: 68 custom hood
I haven't seen a replacement section for the hood. I broke down and just bought a factory hood.
