blinker won't blink

My right side turn signal won't blink. The back will light up, but I have to flip the switch to get it to blink. The front won't light at all. I checked the bulb, it was fine and it seemed to be making contact. The last time I had this problem I just took out the bulb and put it back in. When I was driving home my instrument lights died and I had to turn on the cab light to see them, and when I turned it off, the lights came on? Any ideas?

Yes definetly check the grounds and if the problem still persists try getting a new blinker relay (located on the fuse box) that could be bad, I recently replaced mine due to this problem.
