Dash pad removal

I did a search and didnt find anything about this, anyone got any tips/how-to for removing the dash pad. I want to get my old scongy cracked one out before my nice new one gets here (thanks Jeff! ).

Yep. Pretty simple. Remove the screws at the top of the bezel where they go into the pad, and above the glove box along the bottom of the pad. There is one at the end of the pad on the passenger side. Now raise up on the front of the pad and pull it out. It will help some if you remove the A pillar trim too. The hardest part of getting the new one back in is getting it to go behind the bezel. Once the pad clips are in the slots it will only go back so far. If you find it hard to get it behind the bezel, loosen all the bezel screws so you can pull it out some to give you some room.

a-pillar trim?? These trucks came with trim?? I was lucky to get kick panels in mine!! My truck is a base model, it has kick and door panels and thats it. I'll just be taking the guage bezel off b/c I have a new one for it too that should make it really easy.

To make it easier to remove and install, I would remove your dash bezel too. It can be done with it in place, but I find it easier without.

Putting the old clips on the new pad was the hardest part for me, until I found out how to do it.--->twist.
