Cup Holder

Had to make something for a cup holder, as there just isn't too much available out there.

This is in my Jimmy, but would work for a column shift truck too.

Test fitting prior to carpet install.

Re: Cup Holder

Pretty cool idea, I don’t think I have seen that before. How is it when you reach for the drink? Are you going to bolt it in place?

I built a similar one for an old '75 Ford truck I had. I let it go when I sold the truck.

It's not too bad at all when reaching for a drink. Obviously not as nice as it would be if in a console, but definitely doable.

After dynamat and carpeting, I intend to secure (bolt) it into place. I would hate to have an accident and have that piece of iron become a projectile inside the cab.

Thumbs up Re: Cup Holder

Nice. I used a old S 10 shifter and cup holder in my 71 C 10. I cut the front/back on the console off so it would fit.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Cup Holder

I did something similar using two pieces of exhaust tubing welded to a flat plate with a small extension with a hole drilled in it so I could slip it under the trim ring of the shifter and hole it in place with one of the trim screws.

Re: Cup Holder

That's a Lincoln Navigator or Ford Expedition console.
