Thumbs up Gas gauge fixed

For anyone who has been working on your gauge cluster and pulled the needles off to paint them and now your gas gauge is not reading correct.

You need to pull the cluster back out and take the tin back off with all the gauges. Take the gauges to the truck and hook it up and turn the key on but don't crank it just turn it on. See where the gas gauge goes. It really helps to know about where the gas level is also in the tank. If you can you can pull the sending unit out and work the float by hand but you will need to jumper the sending unit back to the tank for a ground. This is what I did since my bed isn't on the truck.

I took the gauge cluster all a part back months ago when I painted it and installed the LED bulbs. I pulled the gas needle off without thinking about where it was. So I just took it all back out and hooked it up to set the needle to the right spot. I ran the float up and down a few times by hand and then set the needle to empty by the float. I then reinstalled it and put 10 gallons in the tank. So now it reads a little over half a tank which is pretty close. The tank is 18 gallons.

Before the needle was way down in the bottom of the gauge.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
