Front Sway bar for a 5 7 drop?

Looking for a sway bar for my 69. It has a 5 7 drop. How do I know what will fit? What are you running? Thanks

Call Dennis of Dennis Chevy truck parts in Pinellas park and see if he has a stock front sway bar then just order a set of the front sway bar mounts for dropped trucks .

Here's a good thread from Tx firefighter http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=72338

A factory bar will work but you will need to buy the lower/ smaller mounting bracket that mounts on the underside of frame.

It's been years since I did the same drop on my 72 and never took it to the alignment shop to get it finished but ended up buying a 72 k10 and have been working on it ever since. All the lowering parts came from McGaughys but not positive on the frame bracket. Here is a 69 factory sway bar I was going to use. The diameter is 1 1/16

Here are the brackets and bushings for the 1 1/16 stock front sway bar . They have the grease fitting so the urethane bushings don't squeak

1985 chev truck sway 1 1/8 with lowered brackets, rear 1" sway custom made. I really need to clean, it's not so shiny side down

Re: Front Sway bar for a 5 7 drop?

I pulled a 1 1/4" sway bar of a square 3/4 ton and no problems. My truck is also lowered and I just ran the bar thru the INSIDE of the frame mounts. worked perfect. no need for flattened out aftermarket frame mounts

1 1/4" '73-'87 "Square Body" sway bar. I believe that the 1 ton dually up to '91 is also a fit. I bought one out of a salvage yard and upgraded from the 1 1/16". Main reason was the previous owner installed a 1" bar in the rear. Rear of truck is leaf spring. 5/7 drop on our C20.

Mine front bar came off a late 80s dually, it was an 1 1/4.

No Limit on the back.

Nice. The rear sway bar was on the truck when I got it. It's an old Hellwig 7402 that was in rough shape.
