I just got a quote to have my non-original 250 rebuilt for almost $2k. Now wondering if a small block crate engine would be better suited. Where did you get yours and what tranny are you connecting to? I really don't care about crazy horsepower I am not hotrodding it just want it to be reliable. I still have the 3speed saginaw floor shifted. Also, besides the typical engine mounts, what other major mods have to be done to accomodate a small block?
