1974 to 79 egg crate grille swap
So ive seen a few threads with people wanting to change from a 79 grille to the 74 and it seems like you have to use the core support from the year of of the grill you want.
I have no front end on mine, so before i start buying fenders and stuff i want to make sure that if i want to put a 79 egg crate style grille on my 74 if i need the core support off a 79 for it to work, or can i just buy a 79 grille and not have to keep everything year specific? Core support is the same, you just need different grille support brackets.

I actually posted the wrong parts. I meant to take a picture of the brackets on my '79 for you today when I was at the truck and I forgot. It seems to me the center and the brackets are different because the 73-74 grilles were set in further. |
