Picked up a gauge cluster,
I picked up a gauge cluster. The 3 little ones are discolored orange. Any way to restore those?

Re: Picked up a gauge cluster,
Preferred way is to replace with very nice oe gauges.
You can have them rescreened. Around $40.00 - $75.00 per gauge. You can get overlays from white face gauges, from Utah. Hope this helps.

Re: Picked up a gauge cluster,
I like the numbered replacements like these at LMC, updated but still has the classic look.
If you have an ammeter, you might consider swapping it out to a voltmeter. The American Autowire harness I used doesn't support an ammeter, so I used a voltmeter from a 73-87 Chevy truck and swapped the face from the original stock style amp gauge in the new gauge cluster. I set the needle on center based 12VDC. It works great...I can definitely tell when the alternator is charging.

Re: Picked up a gauge cluster,
I think I'll just use it as is for now, maybe clean up the needles paint them. Just keep an eye out for one that's nicer and then sell this one. Thanks for the advice guys

Re: Picked up a gauge cluster,
Hey follow up question and I'm sure I could have found this in a search but while I have a threat up. Other than changing the oil pressure sender and putting the line on it what sensors do I have to replace on the engine for the volts and temperature? I know the wiring harness has to be repinned I have found that information in the past.

For mechanical oil pressure gauge, remove sending unit and install copper line kit from engine to gauge. No sender required . Temp sender for your truck with your engine for a cluster with gauge. If you run a volt gauge conversion, easy to wire into existing wiring. Amp gauge takes more wiring to make work. I can restore this one for you, using very nice stock gauges. I specialize in these clusters. Less money to restore this one than buy another. I sell restored, ready to go tach clusters for 67-72 for $600.00 plus shipping. Probably in the area of $300-$350 to restore yours.
