I guess I got lucky. I bought a set of repop mirrors with the passenger side a convex mirror. I don't have an issue seeing down the side of my truck and the other lane. I'll admit not as good as the factory mirrors it came with but with the excellent visibility thru the back window I feel secure driving.

Now if I had a camper on it or towing a large trailer, better mirrors would be a must.
