Step side gmc

Wondering around the junkyard today, came across this long bed step with the big v6. Almost cried

I can't tell from the angle of the pic: is it a longstep?

This truck is a GMC Fenderside . You should have grabbed the mirrors and spare mount, at least

I can go back. The wondering around the yard was a therapy session. I will go get them and post on here. The passenger side step didn't seem to bad, but the driver side needs work

Re: Step side gmc

I do the same thing. We have just one yard here in the area now, but used to have 4 or 5. The one we have is now owned by LKQ, unfortunately. I think it's $2 entry and I'll just walk around. It seems the times I'm there broke is when I could fill my want list (on my '95)

Re: Step side gmc

If you do go back and check out them mirrors I'd be interested in the bars that holds everything together and mount to the doors, if not rusted through and or all rusted with pits.
Thanks NGN

Re: Step side gmc

Also, if it isn't bent up or rusted and unbolts ok, the top piece over the grille where the hood latch mounts is a much sought after part that enables using the 67/68 hood on 69-72 GMCs

Re: Step side gmc

I thought that top grill bar was riveted to the grill. At least on my 71 it is. Grab the parklight bulbs plugs to. They are gmc only and you can't buy them new.

Not the bulbs them self. It's what the bulbs plug into.

Re: Step side gmc

I found a few trucks with the cab lights. Might make a couple sets. The trees and thorns have overtaken a lot of this yard, I have to choose my time wisely for the bees and snakes
