KC Hilites from the 70s - photos/polaroids

Hey it would be cool to see pictures of your old KC Hilites stuff.

I found a map light at a swap meet a few months ago and I was curious about what other stuff they had available for our pickups. I found a couple good pictures on the internet. Maybe they’ve already been posted but here we go anyway. Thanks -Vinnie

Here’s one from their website. Pretty cool to have a couple Chevy pickups in there.

Here’s the map light I found. I guess no one would need them anymore now that cellphones are here.

I’m interested in buying any old KC Hilites accessories like this, or an old catalogue if anybody wants to sell. New or like new. Thanks

Richard, Nice truck you had there. The second picture reminds me of the High Desert, where I grew up.

Thanks for sharing -Vinnie

Here is my jimmy with some day-lighters on the hickey push bar. Would also love to find the old catalog with the jimmy on it.

Sandtrap9072, I got ahold of a marketing person from KC Hilites and he said he’d be sending me some scanned images from their old catalogue.

I’m not sure exactly what that means but if it’s useful to you i’ll send it your way.

Sandtrap 9072, that is one cool Jimmy!

Reading this thread reminded me that I could have sworn I had an old set packed away somewhere. I found them.

Pretty cool set that has never been mounted.

The title of the thread should really be “from the 70s and 80s” but I think everyone gets the spirit of it anyway. Its always cool to see something that jogs a fond memory.

Re: KC Hilites from the 70s - photos/polaroids

Well Justin from KC Hilites came through. He emailed me four catalogues. from 1976, 1978, 1979 and 1981.

They are in pdf form. So if anyone would like a copy send me a PM with your email address and I’ll shoot it over to you.

It’s 4 catalogues with multiple pages each, so I won’t be taking pictures of everything and posting it on this thread. Just a few

I tried texting the pdf but had a hard time doing that. My wife can email it to you guys for me. Hopefully it can be useful to some of you here. -Vinnie
