250 Exhaust/Intake Manifold hardware

I'm looking for new mounting hardware for my intake and exhaust manifolds. I've got a 67 c-10 with a 250 (non-integrated cylinder head) and 3 speed Saginaw. I've searched the typical parts stores and I get some very confused looks from the children working there when I tell them I've got a 250. Does anyone know a good resource to identify the exact hardware that's on it before I have to take my daily driver apart and buy the hardware individually? I'd like to have them all on hand before I re-seal this thing. Thanks!

Re: 250 Exhaust/Intake Manifold hardware

I replaced my exhaust bolts with studs threaded 3/8-16 on one end and 3/8-24 on the other.. My studs also had a recessed hex head on it so it was easy to reinstall.. The 3/8-16 goes into the block .. The advantage to this is your not fumbling with your intake and exhaust manifold while trying to bolt them in... Install the studs.. Hang your manifolds on then tighten your nuts.. If your look at the picture below and zoom in you can see the first stud on my manifolds.. Just to give you an idea.. If your looking to be more stock and want to keep the manifold "clips" your gonna find them in eBay or a junk yard.. They are not sold anywhere that I know of .. Good luck with your build

How long are the threads on each side? They sell alot of different 3/8x16 to 3/8x24 studs

Scottcoda, when I take a close, expanded look at your picture it looks like you still have the short, locator studs in the end holes of your head. Those should usually be replaced with longer threaded studs when using tube headers.

As in the link above, the heads originally had threaded studs in the 3rd hole in from each end of the head.
