1969 only maroon gmc pictures

My truck was originally the white/maroon 1969 only color. The PO painted it a dark green. I am wanting I swap back to the original color. Would anyone have any pictures of that particular color they wouldn’t mind sharing?
Thanks fellas

Thanks. I wasn’t sure where the white was originally supposed to be. I always assumed it meant a white cab tow time. Now I see that it’s only a white top.

Re: 1969 only maroon gmc pictures

There were several paint configurations available. Here is some paint info for 69-70 models.

Reno Keene's '70 GMC build Charlie came with "special paint" which was black cherry, a color available on a 70 Chevelle.

It depends what your paint code is. Do you still have the SPID in your glovebox? If so, please post a pic of it. The pic in post two does not show the correct paint break for a conventional two tone (white roof only). The A-pillars and door window frames should also be white. It's also a possibility that you may have had a special two tone code with white/maroon which would have white below the lower molding. Would be good to know for sure before you start squirting.

Re: 1969 only maroon gmc pictures

I believe your truck originally had the lower trim, at least. So it may have had white below that. That would be the most common 2-tone paint scheme for a Custom trim truck

Here is a Spid picture. My truck originally was about as plain as an orthopedic shoe.

Ok, a Plain Jane. That Custom door script must be added or the door is not original. Your truck would have had the conventional 2-tone, white top.

Re: 1969 only maroon gmc pictures

That SPID really is cool! I originally just looked to see it was plain and didn't have the Custom trim.

Base running gear except optional ratio, better for hiway, and leaf springs, better to haul. Wheel covers, door edge trim, and white top to trim it out. Done

I have always been confused about why it has leafs on the spid. I was under the assumption the all GMCs came stock with leafs wereas Chevys came with trailing arms.
