Re: Ammeter to Voltmeter - New American Autowire Harness
After the great photobucket debacle some of the photos in this thread were lost. Here is a couple new ones showing the back of a Squarebody voltmeter with the 67-72 front on it. The blue rectangle is the previously mentioned resistor.
The 2nd photo shows the small screw and nut I used to replace the rivets. If memory serves me they are 8-80 screws. Much thanks to the OP and all the contributors since. I am now sporting a nice voltmeter in my Burban.

Re: Ammeter to Voltmeter - New American Autowire Harness
Good to update with previously lost picture. What does the face of it look like? And which 2 of the 3 terminals are used? When ray_mcavoy and leftybass209 referred to the "lost" pictures, they mentioned terminals A, B, and C, using A as 12V input and B ground and don't connect C.

Re: Ammeter to Voltmeter - New American Autowire Harness
Here is how I did mine. Notice that I have the ground on bottom either way works. I am still planing on routing the wire differently than shown. It is way too long and bothers me but I have some more components to mount (and that switch to remove) so it will have wait until then.
And here is a labeled switch to match the earlier posts.

Re: Ammeter to Voltmeter - New American Autowire Harness
Here's a pic of the 67-72 face on the voltmeter. I set the needle for 12v in the straight-up position, and used a 13.8vdc power supply to confirm it in the "charging" position.
In the second pic I repurposed the AAW harness yellow and purple VSS leads and connector for the voltmeter. Yellow is ground, and purple (12v ignition) is spliced to a bullet connector for future use, and the gray lead in the #1 position in the gauge connector (lower right). I probably over-thought this, but it was a winter project when I couldn't tackle other things.
