Ac install

I went the $400 underdash ac route and well it doesn’t have instructions. I’ve done ac work many a times but never a ground up install.

My question is about the hoses and drier. The diagrams I’ve found online show the high pressure going out of the compressor and directly into the top of the condenser. From there it goes to drier, evaporator, then back to compressor.

Is it acceptable to go from the compressor to drier then top of the condenser? The kit I purchased seems to be designed in this way because of the fittings they sent.

Not sure if the drier can take 200ish psi or what it would do to the desicant bag inside of it

The high pres. from comp. goes to the condenser. Cond. goes to the drier. Drier goes to the evaporator. Evap. goes to low side of comp.

Thanks for the replies. I figured out the issue.

Now, it doesn't have any instructions so I need to know how much oil and refrigerant it takes.

I'm assuming 6 oz pag and about 20oz of r134a. Does this sound correct?

1ton under dash with a sd508 compressor.

I found the info on the line.

4.5 oz of oil. 24oz of r134a for my setup.
