72 k5 speedo sleeve
Good day all
I have a leak at the speedo cable at the transfer case and everything seems to point to the sleeve. Anyone know where I can get one or the work around? thanks |

Re: 72 k5 speedo sleeve
I just went through this on my rig. There are two different sizes (diameters) for the speed gear, so two different sleeves and gaskets that seal the speed gear to the sleeve. When I searched you could get a similar gasket seal at Fastenal but I ended up buying at Motor City K5.
https://www.motorcityk5.com/i-13102-...=category:9415 You also need an o-ring that fits around the sleeve and compresses the seal to the transfer case to seal sleeve to transfer case. I took my sleeve to the local plumbing store and found one that fit. I attached a photo. The sleeves don’t always come with the sleeve when you purchase them. I’m assuming you have the sleeve but just need the seals. If not, the sleeve is speedy but available at Torque King. https://torqueking.com/product/30091...chevy-and-gmc/ Last edited by PDXk5; 06-14-2020 at 11:54 AM. |
