Brake lines

Hello,
What are the best brake lines for 1972 GMC Sierra C2500? Copper/Nickel or SS?
What is the break line sizes and fittings, as I noticed there are 2 types of sizes and fittings

I bought my set up from In Line Tube. I ordered stainless steel and it was pre-bent. No flaring needed. Just put together. Very simple to install. I don't have the size info.

I prefer stainless for the look and the longevity, but SS can be tougher to install compared the all the others. If you have to flare some SS...you will need a flaring tool made for SS tubing. The cheap tools just don't cut it!

I can't help with the sizes.

I bought a SS kit for my 1972 GMC C1500 from Inline Tube. I expected some tweaks here and there to get the fittings to line up. The fit and finish is nice, but SS is hard as heck to bend with your fingers in a tight spot. If I had to do it again, I'd probably just get a set of mild steel lines like they came from the factory.

I am glad to hear someone say this. I am not building a show truck and if the first set of mild steel lasted pretty much 53 years the second set will outlast me. Or at least I think they will.

The ni-copp bulk line they have at the parts flares like butter. I plumbed my truck with 3/16" ni-copp lines front to back and it has worked well. I didn't check prices but I bet the bulk line is much cheaper than pre-bent SS lines.

ni-copp wont rust or corrode, its incredibly easy to work with, flares like butter and you don't have to worry about binding issues like the SS lines.

The different sizes are for drum vs discs (bigger).

If anyone has pics of the inside of their old working brake lines I would love to see them.

Wondering if they corrode from the inside out? I am a big fan of using the original stuff if it still meets needs and spec.

I also used the Ni-Copp for both the brake lines and fuel line. Great stuff.... Bought mine off of E-bay.

I just replaced one old line (original), it was corroded from inside.
I read good reviews about the ni-copper. I saw a NY truck that have rust but the ni-copper still new.
I’ve disc in front, drum on the back.
