Re: How much did your truck cost>
I found mine on a Craigslist ad about 10 years ago. 1967 c20 with a flatbed in place of the box and a fair amount of dents and rust. It also has a 327 and an sm420. $600

Re: How much did your truck cost>
I bought my 70 in Atlanta in late 69 and paid $2200. Remember some of the accessory questions were : sunvisor on passenger side - heater - back bumper?
Even throwing in cost of LS connect and cruise - it been very reasonable transportation. Today as then its a daily driver/work truck - DDWT. |

Re: How much did your truck cost>
Found mine in the auto trader in 2002. Paid $2,000.00. I don't keep track of cost after the purchase. Too depressing.

Re: How much did your truck cost>
Ours was "free" when my FiL died. We've dropped about $8k in it since. Next up is a rebuild on the 400 BBC. That isn't going to be cheap.

Re: How much did your truck cost>
I bought mine in 2001 from the original owner for $1000. Almost completely original and had been stored in a garage with a canopy for it's entire life.
It currently looks like this. The only change on the outside is the wheels and canopy. I've done a lot of little improvements that aren't so noticeable. |

The most expensive trucks are the free ones
I don't ask people what they do for a living, what they earn or how they vote. My mother taught us manners..... |

Re: How much did your truck cost>
We bought our '69 CST/20 with A/C, buckets, 350, TH400, etc. in late '69 for $3425. The only pictures I have of the new truck are with the '69 cab over camper, bought the next day, mounted in the bed. This picture was taken about a week after purchase.

Re: How much did your truck cost>
I have looked for a long time (at least 4years) for a 1972 K20 Two tone with a manual tranny. I wanted mostly stock with no rust and mechanically sound.
I found this 1971 and I am happy, more TLC than I wanted to apply but I am enjoying the pickup. She will be two tone in a year or two Previous Owner was asking $12,500. I got the truck for $10,500 knowing it had $600 in past due DMV fees. The actual California DMV fees were $1,745.00. A lot of money for a pickup that cost $4,445.00 from the 1971 build sheet information. I enjoy the truck and I am happy with my purchase.

Re: How much did your truck cost>
Purchased my first 72 K20 LWB in 1980 and my current 72 K10 SWB 25 years ago so I do not think purchase cost really matters. What I paid is absolutely nothing for what they would go for at present time. Current purchases would be of more use to those interested.

$3800 in 1991. Pic from the Metro Piston trader (Lexington KY area), one from right after I bought it, one from before restoration, and one post-restoration pic taken a couple of years ago.

Re: How much did your truck cost>
I have another reply to this question. "Which one?" This question assumes people have only owned one truck. I'd have to prepare a list

Re: How much did your truck cost>
Traded a 2005 Envoy for a '67 LWB straight up. Went to fix the rusted out rockers and found out the frame was bent from an accident. Everything went down hill from there. Does have a strong motor and trans though. Here's a current pic of mine.

Re: How much did your truck cost>
Found mine on CL almost 4 yrs ago. Paid $1200 and drove it home...about 100 miles.
Now has new crate 350 and TH350. Replaced all wear parts like ball joints, brakes, tires, etc. Now its my DD and is a blast to drive. Still not much to look at, and I like it that way.
