That looks like a pretty substantial bracket a few weeks ago I ordered my AC unit from VA with a top mount compressor I’m hoping I don’t have the problems that y’all have been having from what I see it appears to me the bracket that VA sales has too many pieces To maintain a solid mount The solid cast aluminum brackets being all one Peace Is a much better design I wish I had seen this thread prior to ordering if I have issues I will return it and buy one from someone that has a solid one piece like this holley also makes one that everyone seems to like

This is exactly the issue, there are way too many pieces with the VA mount. I don't know why they have not switched suppliers as they don't make it in-house (get it from Kwik). There is way too much adjustment, shims, trimming etc. necessary to find the magic angle to get it to stop squealing. The design is the worst on the market.

I was thinking I could tig it together once alined ?? If I don’t just return it

Just came across this thread as I'm fighting this dreaded squeal. I have the "new" Kwik mounting setup, and I've experienced a squeal since day one. At first, I thought it was the idler or tensioner pulleys, but replacing them has not corrected the issue. I've changed belts as well. Listening as closely as possible, it almost seems as if the squeal is actually within the compressor clutch itself. I haven't charged the system yet, but I'm tempted to, just so I can see/hear what happens with the compressor clutch engaged. That said, I don't want to lose a charge if I end up having to replace the compressor.

I'm honestly fed up with it, but I may try loosening and realigning the Kwik mount before reaching out to VA tomorrow.

This thread is the reason I passed on the Vintage Air supplied bracket, and will be ordering the holley setup soon.

I’m going to try a different belt but if it doesn’t work I’m going to send it back to VA I talk to them once and they had me talk to the place that makes it I think that guy is a jerk I don’t understand why VA fools with him

I have the ict high mount and it’s a pain. Squeals and if it rains or I take my truck to get washed the belt pops off.

I think the squeal is a misalignment. It sounds like the clutch is squealing but it’s the belt.
