Ride height speedway mustang II

Anyone have their ride height measurement on the kit? I put one of the bolt in kits w coil overs and the cross member seems to be about 4” off the ground with my 5.3 and 4L60e in it. Not ready to drive it, but not sure I can get it out of my driveway. Thinking I should have higher spring rate than 375 since I haven't tightened the coil over nut yet.

are those adjustable coilovers? it looks like you have at least 2" of adjustment sticking out the top, which would be over 3" at the wheel.

if I am wrong and they arent adjustable, I blame the forum software that makes pictures only slightly larger than a postage stamp, even on a 21" screen.

You are correct, I just called SpeedWay and they said they used the 375s for their Weekend to Wicked truck. I was thinking compressing the springs would lower me more, but forgot about the top adjustment. I am going to play w it this weekend and see if I can get it where I want before pulling the front off again.

As far as steering goes, the ideal setup sitting static is to have the tie rods in one perfectly straight line with the rack. I'd think the angle is steeper now than it was in the above photo.

To me being able to fine tune the height is one of the big plus things with that front end along with the bolt on factor.

That's a nice setup; did the sway bar come with it? I need to add one.

If your lower control arms are level now without the front sheet metal, they will really be drooping when you add fenders, inner fenders, radiator, grill, hood, etc. Mine was perfectly horizontal before adding the front clip, then it dropped nearly two inches with the added weight, forcing me to install heavier springs. I just had regular coils however, non-adjustable.

I have the front on in that pic most of the engine components too. I’ll check to see if they are level tomorrow when I get out there. The sway bar is one off eBay someone posted a while back. It’s just sitting there, Guess it was for stamped style control arms. I can think I have to make some mount for it.
