Fuel System Hose/Fittings
I am relocating the fuel tank on my 70 GMC long bed and was wondering what fuel line and fittings to use. Is there a good rubber line option (Gates Barricade, Fragola, Earls, etc.) or should I bend some hard line to run back there? If I run hard line I guess I’ll still need fittings and hose on the regulator and pump. Obviously the tank will be under the bed behind the axle and I’m using a Boyd’s tank with an Aeromotive stealth 340 and Holley return style fuel reg.

You have a really nice tank. Compliment it with hard lines. I have never changed a leaking steel fuel line. Lotsa rubber ones.
Steel lines = 100,000 miles Rubber lines = 100,000 leaks Go to a hydraulic supply store if you can find one in your area. They have industrial stuff and some will even make up lines and hoses for you. Enough quality rubber hose with a braided jacket to make two runs to your tank would not be cheap. Non-jacketed rubber fuel lines are best used on push mowers and weed trimmers. |

I'm using teflon braided hose to go from the tank to the hard lines
Hose and fittings from Summit Also I found out from a member that the Corvette filter regulator won't hold up to the Aeromotive pump that comes in that tank. I will be changing mine to a return type with a regulator...that way I can dial in the precise fuel pressure This was to be my initial set up...it will change to hard lines that connect in the same location as that filter/regulator

You can order the fuel line in rolls of 25' from most on line stores. It's easy to work with and will be more than enough to do both supply & return. I did the 68 step side and it was pretty easy. I used fuel injection rubber hose to make the connections to the tank and motor. I double flared all the fittings and it bends nice. I used a No Limit tank.
Do your self a favor and do the in tank fuel pump also. You will regret the outside pump. My in tank pump is 1 of the best parts of the fuel injection mod. I talking from 30 years of running fuel injection in my 71 C 10. No frame rail pump will out last a in tank pump. That's why you want see a factory setup with a external pump ever!

Well sounds like I’ll be using PTFE hose and hard lines. And the fuel pump is in the tank so we’re good there. Thanks for the input! Any other tips etc is welcome!

I would do like Andy says. Use hardline from regulator up to the engine (close to it). Then go with the likes of PTFE. I used something like this on my build (3/8" aluminum hardline).
https://www.speedwaymotors.com/3-8-I...rs,401512.html Super easy to bend by hand, and if you take your time it looks really good. 6AN adapters fit perfect. Then I used the Speedway LS adapter fuel regulator with 6AN fittings. Flexible line to/from the tank to the regulator. Then hardline up (close) to engine. Then flexible line to the fuel rails.
