Re: 2020 Tahoe converted to 1968 Burb
Does look pretty neat. Would be interesting to see more of the work done, ...which it seems it had to be a bit of work to convert...

Re: 2020 Tahoe converted to 1968 Burb
That looks atrocious. The wheels alone - pretend Corvette wheels? I appreciate the effort but to say it looks better than a 2020 model is very shocking.

X10 also. Todays styling, if you can call it that, leaves a lot to be desired.

I would change the wheels also.

There is no new Blazer. I don't care what GM calls it, it's not a Blazer.

Re: 2020 Tahoe converted to 1968 Burb
.
Agreed. This thing says Blazer much better than the current thing GM has labeled Blazer! That curved "tailgate" is something freaky looking though. -klb

Re: 2020 Tahoe converted to 1968 Burb
So the whole thing must swing up like a Tahoe. Otherwise the middle of the tailgate would get scratched by the bumper when it folded down.

Pet peeve of mine - seeing later style side markers on a '68.

Re: 2020 Tahoe converted to 1968 Burb
It makes me think of this conversion, which appears to be the same guy who did the Tahoe

Re: 2020 Tahoe converted to 1968 Burb
This green truck with different rims and bumpers would actually look pretty decent to my eyes.

Re: 2020 Tahoe converted to 1968 Burb
I say one or the other but not both. I think the Tahoe left alone is a great looking vehicle in it's own right. I feel they are one of the best looking modern vehicles available. Probably the best looking Chevy today. I liked them best around 2010, though. The whole market went to uglier overstated grilled with weird headlights for some reason. Do they hold some kind of secret conventions where all the designers meet and decide which new direction to go, just when they got a nice design down? I guess it's really the fault of the consumer who needs to always be thrilled with "the new" since they've never figured out what they really like. Vicious cycle.
Anyway, let the 67-72s be 67-72s and let the new vehicles be new vehicles. If you like the looks of a '68, buy one. And I'll have to disagree with those who say the new Bronco isn't a good looking vehicle. The same people hate the new blazer, but what would you expect your version to be? Do you really think you would get an exact copy of the old one? At best it would be like the new Bronco, a very close simulation based on the original while containing styling & build elements of today. Between modern requirements and satisfying more than just the classic vehicle lovers, you can expect no exact replica made for today.
