1965 C20 Lower A-Arms

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to put together my 1965 C20 lower control arms. I can't figure out a good way of getting the shaft and the new rubber into the control arm. The rubber has to be in the inside i believe because the shaft nuts need to make metal to metal contact with the control arm itself.

I believe that this control arm type is for the 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks. They were on the 1965 C20 when I got it.

That looks like the Torsion bar style lower shafts. Not sure when/what GM changed on C20 chassis but the Torsion bar set-up ended in 62 for the 1/2 tons.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
