Re: 16"x5" 6 lug rims
Here are the 16" x 5" 6 lug rims I have for sale. The 3 black rims are dated 62 and do not have the exposed rivets on the back side. The 2 yellow rims do have the exposed rivets on the back side. Of the 2 yellow rims one is dated 68. I cannot see a date on the other one. The one yellow rim has some hammer marks on the high edge which I have circled with a felt marker. Could be covered up by a hubcap if you were using them. They all appear to be in good condition with just surface rust. They have not been sandblasted or cleaned up. I can take them to a tire company and have them checked for trueness if you would like. Hope this helps make you decision.

And a few more photos of the rims. Last photo is of yellow rim with slight hammer marks. I do have still another rim that I did not photo. It is good, but has rust on the inside where the tube would have rested. I am told this is quite common as the moisture got between the tube and metal rim.

Re: 16"x5" 6 lug rims
Can you tell me what the approx. shipping would be to zip 48161 and it is a business address and hopefully the shipping is cheaper than a residential address. Also, what does the tire bead look like as far as rustiness goes? And further also, some of these early rims do not have a standard bead radius like late 60s rims do. Its like the radius is more gradual than square. And i was wondering if newer radials will mount properly without a tube? I can provide pics if needed reference. Thanks for your patience on my questions haha.

Re: 16"x5" 6 lug rims
Rideblue00, Looks like shipping is going to be $78.00 for two rims per box. So 2 times $78, and probably $35.00 for the 5th rim in separate box. Hope that helps.

Re: 16"x5" 6 lug rims
Question. I have rims like these on our 64. What size tire are you all running. Pictures if you can. Have gotten so many recommendations from Coker tire. Firestone local, etc. About what size tires will work. Or what size did they co.e out with originally.? Mine has a 650x16 as a spare that is missing chunks of tread. It has 7.50 x 16 on truck now. Trailer tires I think. Trying to start restoring it and dont have a clue on what's gonna work. Most of tire shops including coker tire said they never came with 16's. These are original rims stamped on inside 64. Any knowledge would be appreciated.

Re: 16"x5" 6 lug rims
The size you have on your spare is a good size, also a good place to start. I do not have any tires mounted on mine just yet. If someone tells you that they did not make these rims for the Chevy trucks back then, I think I would go somewhere else. The local tire store here in my area looked at my rims and gave me a couple of good choices. All were about the size you mentioned that you have on your spare. You may have to adjust a bit from that size depending on the tread pattern. Take your rim to a reputable tire store and see what they recommend. I think there are some discussions about these tire sizes on the 4X4 thread. You may want to view that.
