I've used mostly JB weld . Color of the wheel isnt important unless your not going to repaint
For large cracks I use the stick weld small I just use the liquid 5 minute stuff

I have used PC-7, A/B on a steering wheel and it worked very well. Sanded good as well. It turns greyish once mixed, unsure if you want a black epoxy if you don't intend to paint your steering wheel.

I appreciate your help ! I didn’t really want to paint the wheel because it doesn’t actually need it. Just one large crack in the hub section. Was hoping to just fill it with a black epoxy and sand it smooth. ....

PC-7 A/B epoxy

I used PC-7 to fix a hacked dash repair on my '71 Chevelle. Worked great, since then have used it on several projects requiring a good strong repair. It does dry gray but have a good working time length, doesn't run and can be sanded, painted, etc. Good stuff. Might be able to hide the gray color on the hub with some touch up paint.

This sounds interesting. Do you happen to have before and after or during pictures of the dash repair on the 71 Chevelle?

No pictures anymore loaded to the computer. Have them printed in the restoration build album I use at car shows. Essentially: a previous owner had hacked the radio section to install a oil and temp gauge where the cig. lighter had been. (huh, LOL?) Being a plastic dash I would not EVER have done that in a Chevelle but the decision was already made for me. Wanted the cig. lighter for a power plug for cell phone. I purchased a section of an original radio dash complete with the cig. lighter section intact, trimmed it down with a Dremel tool and over laid the hacked section with the trimmed section. Used the PC-7 as an epoxy glue and material filler for any voids. Never did understand why a previous owner did not use a 2 or 3 gauge under dash panel for the oil and temp gauge. Sorry don't have pics in the conmputer. I did document the repair with explanation and pics on the below website for Chevelles and can be found by doing a search for "sweep dash radio section-repair" I am on there as "71-SS350" Hope that helps.
