how much would you offer???
my dad found a 1969 suburban on a back road that he said i should go talk to the guy about. it is a 1969 c20 with barn doors, straight body, minor new mexico rust, origionally had a 350, the grill needs to be replaced. i looked at it earlyer but did not talk with the guy so i am assuming thet the engine is shot (because it looks like it has been sitting for a few years) i dont know what options it has or what trans it has as of yet but would like to get some oppinions. i was thinking of offering him 800 but figured i should ask for advice first.

Yeah, you never know, you could it get for nothin' or next to nothin'. Start with the "I'll tow it outta here for ya for free" pitch and then work your way up. There are plenty of these things around that are just free for the taking. Good luck!!

Offer him $10 down and $5 a month for 6 mos.
ok, just kidding. It's hard to say what you should offer him. It really depends mainly on it's over-all shape and how bad you want it. I have paid way too much for something just because I wanted it that badly and had no regrets. If you're wanting an appraisal, you might want to snap some pictures and post 'em on here to get some feedback.

I'd see what he thinks its worth, if its been sitting for awhile, I wouldn't offer that much to start you can always come up.

i think i will just set my top price as 800 since i would like to have a burb but its not somthing that i have to have. i think the way i will approach it is to go talk to him with 500 cash in my pocket and i will leave the other 300 at home. the body is straght with the exception of the front drivers side fender and the grill. luckly i have a 4x4 k10 burb frame and lower half of the body with high hump and clutch linkage so i can convert the c 20 over to 4wd and a standard even if this one has a auto.
