Tilt Steering Column

I just bought a 1972 C10. So excited as I always wanted one.

What vehicle can I pull a tilt steering column from that will fit my truck without major modifications ?

Thanks!

Re: Tilt Steering Column

Start by figuring out if it's floor shift, auto, or manual on the column...

Re: Tilt Steering Column

70-72 pickup, blazer or burb should bolt in, otherwise vans or motorhomes into the late 70s will work with a few mods.

Yes to this, and I'll add that the big motorhomes used a similar tilt up into the mid 80s. The van chassis motorhomes stopped around 1980.

The only real important mod is to move the neutral safety switch toward the bottom of the column to clear the under dash structure.
