60-63 door glass height

I was measuring the height of my door glass. The glass that I took out of my truck seems to be around exactly 17 inches tall. when I compare it to the new glass that was installed it seams like the new glass is at least .5 inches shorter than the original. Has anyone else run into this? I wonder if this is the reason so many people are having issues with there window channel running into the belt line fuzzies.
