Rear Diff Identification
I am confused by all the options in the rear diffs. Eaton, etc.
I have a 1968 C-20 with leaf springs and helpers. I am looking for torque specs and a gasket (I read many posts about using black or gray silicone but I like to use it along with a gasket). But really, it's about knowing what I have and as I learn about the truck, I try to understand but there are many options. What diff is this? |

Re: Rear Diff Identification
I also use a gasket + sealer. Try this stuff instead of silicone. It's fantastic and made to use with gear oil. Permatex 81182
