AM radio repair and 8 track repair

I picked up a restored period correct 8 track player and while doing a little research on the 8 track I found Barry's 8 track repair who also repairs and upgrades our AM radios . His info is at the end of the video

Re: AM radio repair and 8 track repair

I remember listening to 8 track tapes of Ray Stevens, Barbara Streisand, and Peter, Paul, and Mary in my dad's old 77 Thunderbird! And I recently saw a bunch of 8-track tapes in a second hand store in a town next to where dad and I lived back then. Ah, the memories!

Re: AM radio repair and 8 track repair

I had a deck just like that one. Grumpy, Rickwood Radio in Birmingham, Al. is a GM radio service center. I talked to them a couple months ago and they have a couple older guys that has worked on the older radios that are in our trucks. 205-942-5595

Re: AM radio repair and 8 track repair

Having fun finding my old music on 8 track tapes , Ebay has a lot .I found this one of the Doors that brings back a lot of old road "trips" This is what driving music was back in the day . Bench testing this 8 track was like driving down an old country road when these trucks were new .

Re: AM radio repair and 8 track repair

I bought this AM/FM/ 8 track player 3 years ago new, in the box. Hank, pink floyd, neil young, grand funk rail road, all the tapes I listened to in the early 70s. life was good!

Re: AM radio repair and 8 track repair

After noticing so many broken / non working radios being sold lately it's probably a good time to bring this back up .
