66 mustang coupe

I have taken a break from building the chevy trucks and have started a 66 mustang. The main reason was I could not find another truck around here that anybody wanted to sell (64-66 c10s) Here is a couple of pictures.IMG_2368 by Daniel Crymes, on FlickrIMG_2385 by Daniel Crymes, on FlickrIMG_2534 by Daniel Crymes, on FlickrIMG_2541 by Daniel Crymes, on Flickr

Re: 66 mustang coupe

nice prtoject.. I am the furthest thing from a Ford guy BUT the story is that my current wife ( second) was promised a canary yellow 66 mustang when she graduated high school from her dad. Unfortunately he didnt come through. When my wife and I first moved in together she developed cancer and she was not given a good outlook. Long and the short shes a survivor and when the cancer was gone for five years, we decided it was safe enough to get married as she had to divorce her first husband and only stayed married legally for the health insurance which afforded her the best care . When she said it was cool and we could get married i snuck out and bought her a 66 mustang and we tore it down and built it to her specifications. Hers is all stock save power brakes with front disc. 289 automatic with power assist steering

Re: 66 mustang coupe

I've got one of them too, been playing with it since 2012-ish? It's been all over the country. As far North as WI and MI, as far south as FL and along the coast, and as far west as TX and OK. All on power tours. Put about 35K miles on it. With rebuilt suspensions (with a couple pieces from street or track) a 5 speed OD manual trans, and some better seat foam, they're really awesome cruisers.

Re: 66 mustang coupe

Awesome...I've had my 66 for over 30 years (was my Pops and then was given to me). Just got her painted and am on this site because my wife has always loved the 2nd gen C10's so I bought her one earlier this year to work on together.
