'71 Blazer factory A/C parts giveaway
Hi Guys,
I have a 71 Blazer with factory AC. I recently completely rebuilt it with new compressor, evaporator, condenser, etc, and have a lot of old parts clogging up the garage. I figure they might be of value to someone doing a factory correct restoration. Since I kept some needed brackets and parts such as the evaporator housing it might not be what you need but I didn't want to trash it without giving someone the chance to find something he needs. Therefore, I am giving it away for free to anyone who is willing to come by and pick it up in the San Jose, CA area. Best, Fabian |

Are you even allowed to give stuff away on this forum without having your post deleted? Asking for a friend. ;-)

Re: '71 Blazer factory A/C parts giveaway
I get charging for businesses to advertise here, but I could never figure out why individuals trying to sell a part or two to another member need to pay for this site? We probably all have parts from our projects sitting around collecting dust that could be useful to someone else working on theirs.
Yeah I know the old saying " It costs money to keep this site going". Well, if there's not enough revenue from businesses on here, then maybe using a free forum might be the way to go. |

Re: '71 Blazer factory A/C parts giveaway
Posting free parts is a kind gesture and from what I know is within bounds.
We should say "Thank you" and "Welcome to the board" to the OP or nothing at all.

Re: '71 Blazer factory A/C parts giveaway
Here are the promised pictures. I threw in some other stuff as well that will otherwise go into the trash.
First off the 'other stuff': - voltage regulator w/ assorted wires - matching stock alternator (not pictured but available) - oil filler neck - fuel pump - valve covers All of these are in good working condition, but of course no guarantees. A/C parts: - evaporator - condenser and filter-drier - compressor - blower - valves, brackets, bolts, and hoses The A/C was fully functional but leaking when I took it out, no idea which part leaked. It had been 'converted' to R134a by PO but I don't think that did any harm other than the hoses probably leaking worse than before. |
