Re: 67-68 two tone paint?
So can that trim piece be removed fairly easy without distorting it???

Re: 67-68 two tone paint?
I would say yes after grease and rebuild.
Breaks in the middle and pull. 50 year one not so much.

Re: 67-68 two tone paint?
I keep trying to load a picture of what's left of my 68 Golden tailgate, I give up for the moment...
It's solid Gold without any white, of course white letters, and trim. The paint on my factory letters is almost completely faded off, and the trim was gone when I bought the pickup in 1980... The bottom white does follow around the back of the bed side, but not following the body line. I DO have a picture of a pickup from here, will post later... |

Re: 67-68 two tone paint?
Dragging up an old thread I found searching Google for two tone paint on my 68. Some great reference pictures in this thread.
QUESTION: Is the top of the dash between the windshield and dashpad a different color in 68? Specifically 507 blue trucks? I am using a 71 cab on my 68 frame, and when I removed the dashpad, there is a distinctly different color of blue for the top of the dash. Thanks Jason |

Re: 67-68 two tone paint?
My 67 long bed was red with the ivory top. Deluxe Texas truck that I think had every bell and whistle they could load on a 67 half ton. Small back window truck.
I don't have a photo of it on this computer that I can find.
