72 C20 - Brake Booster/MC Replacement Options
I am currently restoring the firewall/underhood area of my truck. Truck is a 72 C20, front power discs.
I see GMCPauls sells this as a combo - who else provides all three components "turn key", including brackets for a fairly easy swap? I thought I saw a forum member here a while back that supplies this setup, however I can't find a thread. Any input or experience is appreciated. This is a project I would rather buy as a unit to bolt in if possible instead of sourcing individual components myself to save a buck. PS: I don't think my current booster is the OE delco, so I am assuming its not worth the price to have it refinished, truck will be a nice driver.

Re: 72 C20 - Brake Booster/MC Replacement Options
i did this a few months ago.. Used performance online. I got the one for the "ls swap" in that the booster is more compact like yours.. I have it installed, brakes bled and the change over was easy and a direct bolt up.. i had the one from them before but with the bigger booster and the brakes worked great for a few years till i did the swap..

Re: 72 C20 - Brake Booster/MC Replacement Options
Thanks for the info zschary, I appreciate it.
Best I can tell, GMCPauls and POL are using the same supplier, as they have the same stock photo for the part except POL has photoshopped their logo on the prop valve. Nothing implied here, just stating I bet they're the same product. How did the finishing on the parts hold up for the few years that you ran your previous setup? Anyone else have any experience here?

I bought a booster from Frank (board user PICKMUP) and haven’t had any issue. It’s been almost a year and I love it. All new components. He has a listing on the parts board for the boosters. Check in with him!

It looks like a original booster used on a c20. I took one off a C20 in the late 80s and put it on my C10 looks the same as mine. They use Bendix and Delco in those years.
