New Door Panels

Bringing this conversation back up. I bought a pair of door panels from LMC and they cracked. Need a new set and dont want to break the bank. Looking for a set of grey stock looking panels. Best panels for the price.

I am considering these

Shot you a pm. Not really sure on that. Definitely a different style though. Maybe somebody else has some experience and can let us know.

I had a set, and loved the them . For the money, about $200 or so from rockauto, I couldnt have been more pleased. Keep in mind they are not OEM, and wont have the look or feel of such...

Anyone know the answer to this? There is a nice set of door panels at my local junk yard from a 85 Suburban that I would like to get. My 79 door panels are pretty chalky.

The doors I am not sure are the same from 73-80 - 81+ I know the older 73-80s had Thicker metal & Glass... not sure on the other parts.

Re: New Door Panels

I'm a purist so my ideas are a little jaded... Okay they're a lot jaded. I would look for a set of used 77-80 panels and dye/paint them whatever color you need. I believe the 79 Sport truck would have the Scottsdale trim. http://brochures.slosh.com/pdfs/1979...%20Pickups.pdf

Re: New Door Panels

I found these on USA1 site.

http://www.usa1industries.com/1977-8...airs-only.html

I also find some very pricey ones for a silverado. I am looking for my scottsdale. Are these any good?

thanks
Chris

Re: New Door Panels

I saw the USA1 panels at a show in the Fall and talked with one of the owners . Very nice products and as has been said , they make their parts in North Carolina . Their dash pads are exceptional too.

Depends how picky you are. No one makes a good reproduction door panels yet for ‘73-80.I’d try to find original door panels and dye them. Way better than anything made right now.

I am currently looking for a good set of door panels front and rear for full trim version trucks to have them reproduced. If anyone has them EMAIL me at webmaster@73-87chevytrucks.com with pictures of the set you have for sale with pricing so we can eval them.
