ignition
I've just switched my 6 cylinder to a petronix ignitor system to keep from changing points. I've also added a flamethrower coil. Problem is I'm going thru distributor caps and rotors now. Is there a better brand someone could recommend. I've been using stock parts up until now. I've heard good things about a line classic products has. Any help?

one word (wel actually 3)
HEI reason, more distance between cyl. towers in cap so you dont end up with burned contacts. not to mention the reliability & simplicity.

Dunno, I am running a pertronix conversion in an old points dist)cast iron, from a 64 chev)+ coil & a good recurve. I like it better than the HEI that i pulled out! I would look for a Bluestreak, Accel, or any others that have brass contacts in the cap. i have heard the stuff about spacing with the bigger caps......but IMO ,its BS. I can twist my 383 as tight as I want with the small cap, & no missfires best of luck, crazyL
