I should really chime in here for 70SHORTFLEET, who built mine. It looks as new also. Assuming they're not the same guy, it's great we have resources for rebuilding columns and AC boxes and many of the specialized pieces...

I've got a question. If I were to send him a tilt column, would he send a rebuilt one in exchange (for price of course)? I've been told by many that trying to tear into a tilt column by myself, would be a mistake. This time I'm taking that advice.

Turn around time would be one week or less. I completely disassemble column hot tank internal parts Bearings are checked and relubed. external parts are stripped to bare metal etch prime then painted semi gloss black. New parts incl. AC Delco turn switch, nuetral safety switch, gear ind. pointer & lens, hazard knob, upper dash seal, lower firewall seal, turn & tilt lever, rechomed shift lever with new knob.

70ShortFleet does nice work, I have one of his in mine. I requested it painted blue (my interior and body color) instead of black and he did so, and the unit itself is beautiful.

Kevsclassic is a great resource, I have received my tilt column , very professional person, fast service fast shipping and a great looking product. I had him lower it 2-1/2” so more interior room. Highly recommended!
